How much space does such a bash require? I have access to a community center with a large hall. They've always been well-attended in the past - it's about time we had another! Quote

ped Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 Indeed, and you'd better have a red carpet handy. Let me know when and where and I'll let my driver know. Ideally the venue will have helicopter landing if possible. 3 Quote
Matt P Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 having been to the last 3 or so bashes i'll be up for the next one, not sure i have anything bassy to bring that people might be that interested in but i guess i could bring baked goods! Matt Quote

Chris2112 Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 I'd be up for an NE bass bash. Out of interest, where did this meet take place? 1 Quote

A friend of mine plays at The Little Rooms which I think are off Albion Row and there is another place right in the middle of the Byker Wall on Commercial Road. The place is well served for rehearsal rooms! Quote
skej21 Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 (edited) As I asked the question, i’d obviously be interested! Edited November 15, 2019 by skej21 Quote

Bassman Sam Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 Wow. Never been in studio with daylight include. If there's going to be a NE bass bash, I'm onboard. 3 Quote

I used to rehearse once a week up there - bloody cold in the winter, boiling in the summer, but a fantastic-sounding room. In fact, it is big enough that it could easily accommodate a medium-to-large bass bash! 😎 Edited November 15, 2019 by Conan 2 Quote
Chris2112 Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 That is really cool. I used to work on Clifford Street and still get to Byker most days of the week. It's nice to see that there are still cool things hidden away that I didn't know even know were there. 1 Quote
silverfoxnik Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 Great thread! 😊 Amazing collection of basses and amps and what a brilliant space that is @cd_david! Lovely example of what the Basschat community is all about... 2 Quote

Had I known this was taking place and that so many glorious basses were going to be in the same place at the same time, me and a few 'like minded folks' might have rented a Transit, put the stockings over our heads, and made the journey up North with evil intent 1 1 Quote
