yorks5stringer Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 Chip off the old block? Interesting in that I thought Affinity's had those shonky Tuners with little rectangular boxes over the gearing but this one has open Tuners like the VM and CV Squiers Quote
TheGreek Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 17 bidders - enough people thinking that it's a bargain. I didn't look - are their any cheap P bodies for sale at the moment?? Quote

Mine's not a bad £50 bass. Edited November 13, 2019 by prowla Quote
gjones Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 Has it been chewed by a pit bull? That's a hell of a chunk. Quote
prowla Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 On a technicality, "This does not effect function or safety at all" means that it doesn't cause function or safety... Quote
yorks5stringer Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 Bet the neck dives a bit mind with less counterweight at the other end? Quote
Bassassin Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 So - you drop your bass (or more realistically, use it to demolish a wall) and as a result knock a f*ck-off big chunk out of the body. Do you a: attempt to glue the piece back in, Or b: lob the bit of wood on the fire & go "sod it. no-one'll notice". Quote
lowregisterhead Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 I predict someone will 'repair' it with wood filler and it'll turn up in a branch of Crack Converters within 3 months... Quote

nilebodgers Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 "not that noticeable from the front really" 👍 Quote
Woodinblack Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 You can just buy a good condition squier affinity off ebay for £30 and use the body from that instead. Quote

Good idea - and then you can sell the left over neck to get some cash with which you can get the damaged body fixed! All you need to do then is buy another £30 Squier to obtain a neck for it at a decent price... and then the left over body is all profit 🙂 </irony> This is probably how how he should not be named got started... Anyhoo - somehow this has reached over £70 with 10 hours to go... what am I missing, apart from a pathological desire to throw away money? Quote

Jean-Luc Pickguard Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 The replacement tuners have been fitted at a bit of a jaunty angle - who do we know that would do such a thing? Quote
