Replacement preamp for 1981 Fender precision special bass

Hi I’m looking for an original preamp for a 1981 Fender precision special bass. Does anyone know where I can buy one in the UK ?

These come up very rarely on ebay but usually in the US. I had one cloned around ‘82. Not a difficult job for a decent electronics engineer

Hi just wondering if you had any luck finding a preamp for your Precision Special? I'm also in need of one for my 1982 Special. I have managed to find a schematic for the circuit but some of the component values are hard to read.

I am assuming that some of the pot tangs solder directly on the PCB.

Yes, from what I can make out they all do. The potentiometer for the treble control is a dual gang. One half working the active treble boost and cut and the othe half working as a simple tone control in passive mode.

The image is not from my bass, just one I found online. I am making the asumption they would all be the same.
