Thinking about it, the OP says he has a P bass with Flats, and another with rounds
Surely this is proof that we all need 2 of each type of bass - one strung with flats, one with rounds? :) :)

I use Warwick Red Nickles on my Precisions after reading positive reviews on here.

They sound bright and last longer than Rotos or Ernies, but they are a bit abrasive to the fingertips.

I have a few packets to try on my other bases too.
