Cato
The Eastwood Warren Ellis tenor guitar has picked up a bit of a cult following over the last few years. Maybe this is Fender grabbing a bit of that action?
hooky_lowdown
I love the 51 Tele, but this is a massive NO. It just looks wrong. Waiting for the Fender Strat-cision next??? 🙈 Edited November 15, 2019 by hooky_lowdown
Jean-Luc Pickguard
I have a Warren Ellis Tenor tuned as a (low G) tenor ukulele - all unwound strings. Its great for recording guitar parts as I sound a lot better on uke than guitar. If I didn't have the Eastwood I'd be all over this tele. Happy Jack
Key Features: 27.5”-scale electric tenor guitar Custom 4-string single-coil Telecaster pickups “U”-shaped neck profile 9.5”-radius fingerboard with 21 vintage-tall frets Includes deluxe gig bag Here's what Fender say: A modern take on the 4-string tenor guitar, the Fender Tenor Tele has a huge sound that belies its small size. Tuned to the same pitches as the top 4 strings of a 6-string or any of a number of popular alternate tunings, guitar players will feel right at home on this fun-to-play tiny Telecaster. Custom-designed 4-string alnico pickups give this Tele variation its sound—twangy and powerful, it has the authentic sound that’s made the Tele popular since its inception. The usual 3-way pickup switch is there, along with master volume and tone controls to further shape your sound. Comfortable for any playing style, the 22.75”-scale maple neck has a “U”-shaped profile and hosts a modern 9.5”-radius fingerboard with 21 vintage-tall frets. Someone at Andertons needs to learn how to proof-read ...
Bassassin
Oh god, just stop it. Are there really enough hipsters in the world to justify this sort of guff? 1
pete.young
"Fender's alternate reality range". Well they got that spot on at least. A tenor guitar is normally 22-23 inch scale length and tuned CGDA.
Happy Jack
Yup - this one is 22.75" scale, despite what Andertons say.

Maude
Don't care about the guitar, but 22.75" annoys me. Yes, I am a grumpy fart!
Jean-Luc Pickguard
Eastwood's take on a telecaster tenor guitar looks a bit more balanced visually for me
Jono Bolton
Everyone moans about Fender doing the same old thing, but surely that's the lesser of two evils if the other option is stinky poo like this? The Powercaster is the first half-decent new design they've come up with in years, even if it would look better with a Jazzmaster-style trem rather than a hardtail.
