51m0n
It's time to insure my kit again, and my normal insurer has more than doubled the cost this year. Really not impressed! Any recommendations for a decent insurer? Ta!
Dan Dare
I get my insurance through the MU. Worth asking them for a quote if you're a member.

chris_b
I insure myself. Having been playing for over 50 years and never made a claim (never had an accident or loss) I'm currently offering myself a 100% no claims bonus.
Lozz196
I use New Moon, easy to set up, and there was a 10% discount for Basschat members.

kodiakblair
First I've heard of New Moon. Just got a very nice quote. Glad I checked this thread, new insurance company for me when the policy lapses.
Mattbass97
I'll probably be going with New Moon. Spoke over phone running through a load of questions about the policy etc and they were extremely accommodating despite my caution. They offered to add the items to my policy if I provide an excel sheet saving me the hassle of doing it online and giving me an even more tailored quote. Impressed already... I do that too, don't bother with insurance if I can replace items from my savings, so just buildings and car insurance for me, statistically it's got to be cheaper otherwise insurance companies would go bust
Blink
I use Musicguard. You get £1m Public Liability cover as well.

fretmeister
Last renewal I moved from Allianz to New Moon. Saved me about 50% on the renewal! Never had to claim from them so I don't know who good that bit is though.
wateroftyne
It's worth pointing out that New Moon includes public liability, and for a small up-charge also cover theft from unattended vehicles.
toneknob
New Moon also. As well as the above benefits, you can specify at home/UK/worldwide cover, to help keep the cost down.

Yes...but worth adding (as I have done on similar threads) that "unattended vehicle" doesn't mean stolen from any car or van, it means stolen from a locked boot,. glove compartment, or other area in the vehicle that is not visible from the road. Often quite tricky with a bass, so check the terms before paying extra for the cover

They are just ignoring my emails. Will be going elsewhere after this weekend. Edited November 21, 2019 by dave_bass5
