ead
Found this lurking around th nether regions of evilbay. Couldn't find masses about these on line but it was made in 1989 in France, American Walnut Body, Maple neck and rather nice 24 fret Rosewood board. Bartolini p/ups and passive V/V/T electronics. Altogether a very nice 24 fret J bass,

Grahambythesea
Very smart. Ibanez meets Fender in shape. Good find.
Hellzero
The Lag Collection basses were their flagship models back in the days when Lag was still a little luthiers shop. These were high priced instruments with top specs. Sadly Lag bankrupted in the mid to late nineties after a production delocation in Asia. The new Lâg has nothing in common with the original Lag quality wise. Some clever guy named Michel Chavaria, who was the guy that started it all, just put an "^" on the "a", using original Lag brand lustre. ead
Thanks for the info, very helpful. I think this bass predates the accented A judging by the decal on the headstock. I've had the neck off and both neck and body are stamped 1989. It certainly seems very well made with nice quality woods and hardware. Details like the finish on the frets being of good quality too.
