Mike Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Apparently the only one apart from Tye Zamoras' Link Interesting! Dubs Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 I think this has been linked in another thread, but yeah, it's an odd one. "Fugly" springs to mind as an appropriate adjective to describe this bass. The moral of this story is "stick to what you know best"... Quote
EBS_freak Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 I believe that this belongs to Rob at Reverb in Birmingham... I remember speaking to him once and he uttered some words about a custom 6 string Fender bass... Quote
OldGit Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 +1 on fugly Goodness .. How can you make basses for 60 years and still get the headstock string paths wrong? Quote
waynepunkdude Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 The guy from Anonymous Tip has a nice Fender 6 string we played with them a few months back and it was awesome. This is a pic. Quote

thedontcarebear Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 I think that is quite nice, I would spank the cash on it if I wanted any more basses. Quote
Delberthot Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 All the cuts look like they were done with a hacksaw. Lot of weird angles and that neck plate looks like it was made in metal work class Quote

Horrible looking bass IMO and that logo on the headstock doesn't do it any favours either. Quote
cheddatom Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 I really like it. I always loved the one that the Alien Ant Farm guy had too. Quote
TDM Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 If I wanted a custom 6 string bass in a weird shape I'm sure Fender would be the last place I'd look. Looks like a nice bass though. Quote
NickThomas Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Looks like it would put a left handed crick in my back. Quote
NJE Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 love it, i think it is awesome and I am usually a standard jazz bass kinda guy. If they did a five string version of this I would be all over it. Its only just up the road from me, I so fancy a go on it. Loved alien ant farm whn they were about and loved this bass the moment I saw it in Fender frontline years back. I think fender should try a few more out of the box ideas like this, what do they have to lose? anyway cool bass but not for everyone. Quote
Mike Posted January 16, 2009 Author Posted January 16, 2009 I like the way this bass is so divisive. Quote
