5-string sets

After a new set of nickel strings for a 5-string bass I've just got. Anyone seen any good deals around at the moment please? Not brand loyal - but prefer nickels.

I'd guess those available on t'interweb would be 'the best deals'. All the usual outlets would be where to start I think.

Newtone strings are worth paying extra for. AWESOME!

I get my strings from Lakland's website and it works out about £25 for two sets of Lakland Nicks inc postage.
They have tapered B's and are long scale so will go through the body of my 55-10 35".

I like elites nickel standards for my 5. last ages, get mellow rather than just old and toneless... er... stringbusters i think has them for pretty cheap and they fit on my dearmond which is a 35" 4 and 1 headstock beast...

Check out this shop called 'amps-n-bits in Worthing:

They have an ebay shop and luckily, they happen to sell nickel 5 string sets for about £10-12. They're pretty good strings too - made at the same factory that Picato strings are (or were) made.

I've bought a few packs of Nickel Hartke 5 string sets off ebay:

At these prices it's got to be worth a punt, unless anyone's got any horror stories about them? I bought 2 triple packs and have only got one set left (I do have three 5-stringers to put them on though). Didn't get stung at customs either, which was nice...
