I can only speak of the lefties but I've seen a few of these come up over the years, the seller seems to grind them out every few months. I've never read anything misleading in the ads. If they were a few hundred quid I'd maybe take a punt but with no idea on the sound, feel or long term viability of the bass I can't do it at those prices, I'd rather go to Limelight and have some more guarantee to the work. Also I like my relics to look used but not like they've been washed up on the rocks at Ravenscar beach. 

Fair play, he makes things you can't buy (for lefties anyway), starts the auctions low, describes accurately as far as I can tell, and people buy them at a decent price.

I take your point on the low start - I guess folks pay what they will, then...
