Picked up this Lakland Skyline SK-5DX recently but the 35” scale isn’t for me so I’m moving it on! Has some marks and dings but nothing that affects the playability or sound. It’s a limited edition model from Japan with Duncan Designed pickups and 3 band preamp!
Comes with a gigbag.
Price includes shipping!

Specs:
Maple Neck
Maple Fretboard
Alder Body
Quilted Maple Top
35” scale
19mm string spacing
Duncan Designed pickups and 3 band preamp
3 way switch for the humbucker to selected inner coil, outer coil or both coils together

I’m not looking for any trades!!!

Hi, where the bass is produced in Japan or where? You cover the shipping cost to England or EU?

Cheers!

As far as I can see online these are made in Japan for the Japanese market.
Yes I’ll be covering the cost of shipping within the EU!

There was a thread on TalkBass about this way back when and Bo from Lakland/Hanson  advised that they are made by ESP in China as cheap option for the Japanese market.

I wouldn’t exactly say a “cheap option”! I’d say a more affordable option for them than importing from the States!!!

His words, not mine sorry. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a lovely looking bass and no doubt has the characteristics of a Lakland.

The Shoreline series are made in Japan, unfortunately not readable on the headstock.

I tried a brand new 55-02 made in Indonesia, the fret work was not hmmm... perfect on it.

  Nice basses anyway!

Ive owned and played many Skyline 55-02,s 44-06 s 55-01 s. They have all been superb. Never a bad Lakland have i played. The best by far was an Indonesian made 5502 Deluxe. What a bass. USA lakland electronics and pickups..

Shoreline uses lh3.

You can tell that this is made by esp because of the duncan designed pickups.
