My studio got flooded last week but made in time to move out the instruments few days before as I knew was going to happen (was a provisory space until my unit is finished which is looking likely to be in March now .’so....... I be purchased a second hand shed put some insulation up and I’m looking to move some equipment (not the expensive stuff but still 4K of equipment ) next week the shed is in a very safe place but you never know what could happen if I insure the gear trough musicgard and stuff gets stolen are you still can get if is in a shed ? thoughts please Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Monkey Steve Posted November 27, 2019 Share Posted November 27, 2019 (edited) give them a ring and ask The policy may have some assumptions around the place where the gear is kept - lockable doors, that sort of thing. Doesn't necessarily mean that they won't provide cover for storage elsewhere, but if it's not a standard term then you will want them to make a specific exception, and to put that into the policy documentation.
