alexclaber Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 One interesting thing about this amp is that the preamp is actually a digital modelling unit. Alex Quote
dr.funk Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Just seen this on the Digital Village website, looks like a clever piece of kit. I like the ring of light knobs and having the tuner on the footswitch makes sense. It would have been good to have been able to send a stereo Pre & Post signal down the SPDIF output though. Quote
BigRedX Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009
I'm going to drop the artist relations peeps a line.. I have been using TC gear for years now and still havent found anything as good as the TC G-Force.. and it is, in terms of how fast technology moves, a rather old piece of kit! Dood.
I know what you mean - my Finalizer is over 10 years old now (although it's been back to TC for all the upgrades) but it's still an outstanding piece of kit. Pretty much everything goes through it at some point during the recording process even if it's just to get a nice hot digital signal without going into nasty digital clipping. Quote

whynot Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Very much looking forward to trying one of these. cheapest UK official quote I've found is here RH450 Quote
Mr. Foxen Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Got my rejection email, I'm not a tester. Pretty sure I'd look wicked silly with that little rig in my band. I did get a voucher for a free fotswitch with the rejection though, that's up for grabs, as they clearly don't think their amp will cope with Doom, and I'm inclined to agree. Quote
alexclaber Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 All this new TC stuff is in GAK. Didn't have a chance to try it, looks very nice though. Alex Quote
GStar Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 This head really interests me... the price doesn't, but then price never does Has anyone checked out TB's reaction... i've just had a quick sweep over, i wanted too see if there was any first hand experience, instead its some guy named JimmyM stomping his feet because he's played with a few "cool cats" but wasn't selected for the free trial, cue him and a bunch of others claiming the whole thing as a huge blunder on TC's part vowing they and many others feel insulted at not being "big enough" to be selected and will never buy a single product by the company again!? I find it hard to believe people are this blinkered and ignorant Oh, if you'd like to tear some hair out: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.p...427&page=17 1 Quote

funkyhobbit Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Guitar Guitar in Newcastle have the head but no cabs. I tried it out through 2 aguilar DB 112,s today with my jazz bass. Really liked the tone. Sounded warm but pokey with a flat eq and no tube sim. Nice powerfull loud amp.I prefer the flat sound of this over an MarkbassF1 or AG500SC. Quote
elitebass Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 I've been chosen as a test pilot for the rebel head. I'll start posting my findings as soon as i get my hands on it! Quote
