Ourobori
As title says. I played a show with my LH500. I didn't notice any issues whilst playing but I don't tend to use cabs for onstage volume live and rely on monitoring and my direct out for FoH. Came to use the head for a practise and I'm getting a very broken and quiet signal thru a cab. Ran DI from built in direct out to pa and sound is fine. I've opened the unit and visually all is fine. Suggestions?
paul_5
Do you have a separate preamp (sans amp or similar) that you can plug into the effects return socket? That will tell you if your power amp stage is working, and it’s just a bad / broken connection between the pre and the power stage. not sure if the di out on there is pre or post eq, if you can try it with another valve (12ax7) that would be the first thing I’d do. BassBunny
This type of issue comes up a lot and one of the fixes is to plug a jack plug into the effects loop, (both send and return), a number of times. The sockets can oxidise over time and plugging/unplugging a jack plug, or lead, can clean them up.
