Boss CS - 3 Compressor sustainer

I have been using it for long time with guitar, is anybody using it with bass?
How's it working on gigs?

Hi Martin

The CS-3 has a very good compressing effect but it's a bit too noisy for me. You do loose some low end running a bass through it as it's circuit is designed for the higher register of a guitar.

I swear by mine having owned ebs, aphex etc I use the cs3 everytime. Albeit with a noise suppressor as part of my rig.

You can fit the Monte Allums opto+ mod kit. It removes a lot of the noise.

Had mine modded at pedal mods,ti's a cracker now and perfectly quiet.

my settings:

level: 12 o' clock
tone: 12 o' clock
attack: 2 o' clock
sustain: 12 o' clock

Mods will definitely lower the noise floor on this pedal.

I've always wanted to try 2 CS-2's in series like Juan Alderete.
