Swapping neck pickup in a Fender PJ

Dudes, I have a Tony Franklin Precision Bass which has the PJ configuration. I am considering putting in a Seymour Duncan QP as the neck pick up as I want a harder hitting sound. Is it possible to swap on the neck pick up and leave the bridge pick up as supplied? Are there any downsides to doing that? Cheers.

Yes it is perfectly possible. The downside is that the balance between the two pickups may change. Could be better or worse but I suspect the QP will have a bit more output than a standard pickup.

What @Bassalarky said. The QP has a very high output, so if you use the stock jazz and QP together you'll notice a big drop in output from just the QP on its own.

You're probably be best to match the QP P pickup with a bridge QP Jazz pickup.
