Those that have gone before:

Hohner B2V (doesn't sound as good as the B2AV):

The current ones are a walnut B2AV (same as the one up there, but a little tattier on the corners at the tuner end), and a brace of Seis:

5-string Flamboyant:

I do have headed basses too, but I like the ergonomics of the headless, plus they're lighter than the equivalent headed.

Wow! All these are wonderful! And the Seis - Flamboyant headless is for me one of the most beautiful bass designs ever made!

This is just superb collection! For me, headless Sei Flamboyant is one of the most beautiful bass body shapes ever made. 👍👍👍

According to Rob G, it's a through neck Series 1.  I have one identical but in FPPR. :)

that’s just beautiful, my favorite bass is a telexplorer, I may need to operate...

did you build it? Can you send me a parts list?

Yeah, I bought the body off ebay which is  paulownia, if I ever see an ash or anything other than paulownia I`ll be re bodying it, pulownia is a nightmare to work with if you don`t have much gear. The pickups are Warman, the bridge is a Overlord of music which have had bad reviews but this one seems ok with my little mods, the neck was bought off here years ago and I`ve since added a vbt loom rather than the hidden switches as I couldn`t get the sound out of it I was wanting. The string retainers are cheap chinese things but they are getting replaced shortly with the retainer that came with the bridge.

This is definitely not a guitar of course...

It's headless, it has strings, it's made by one of this parish, therefore it counts!

A Reiver Kompakt T7 with ART burl top and a flame Sycamore board.

That is beautiful! What is that top wood? I love the figuring, it's subtle and understated but it has beautiful figuring.

It's Claro Walnut top and American Walnut body

Future headless ambitions include a Riverhead Unicorn (had GAS since the 80s when I couldn't afford one), Hohner Jack (the J/J version) Westone Super Headless (when one turns up at the car boot for £30) Status S2/S2000 (see previous entry) - and probably more realistically, a conversion of a sort-of Rickenfaker I've had kicking around for years, which has one of the ugliest & most incongruous headstocks I've seen.

A year later, one out of five ain't bad under the circumstances:

Yes, I do expect some appreciation for the thematically appropriate background! And what a lovely little bass it is - cheers @PaulS!

Lack of car boots during the pandemic mean the quest for £30 Westones & Statii (stranger things have happened) has been a non-starter, but I got as far as buying hardware for the Faker conversion before sub-zero temperatures, apathy & weapons-grade self-pity conspired to keep me out of the garage. Soon though. Maybe.

I do admit that this neck and top wood looks fab but copying the pictures one by one again and again is somewhat disturbing.

Everyone please take a minute and consider what to copy and why before putting a one liner after the original post.

Thank you all.
