bartelby
Have you set the midi channel on the track in Logic to the same as the one the TD12 is outputting on?
fiatcoupe432
Thanks for your reply I ve tried all the channels with no luck I'm losing my mind
Owen
Try opening a new instrument once it is plugged in. This works sometimes when I plug my keyboard in after I have opened up a track.
ambient
Do you need to use an interface with a midi in?
Owen
Logic should just see it through USB. It is just like a usb keyboard sending note and note off messages.

Davo-London
I've tried this to no avail. Are you trying to record each drum/cymbal to separate channels? If so, I never managed to do this. Good luck, I've got to confess I gave up. There are several responses to this question online via google have you exhausted these? I know Logic had an update recently, it can upset things if the DAW or OS aren’t matched to the hardware’s firmware. I’ve got an Elektron Digitone synth that I use via an app and USB into Logic. The app for that is still in beta, and won’t work at all with the latest Mac OS, so I haven’t been able to upgrade to it. Owen
I do this specifically with Yamaha kits into logic via USB. Just like a keyboard. There is a bit of faff with sorting out pads to voices, but I guess that someone out there has done a template for that.
