Yes, but you can still play it on bass. I've got the tab somewhere.

If you let the pianist do it it's even easier for the bassist.

Zombie - The cranberries

Boulevard of Broken Dreams - Green Day

I Love Rock N Roll - Joan Jett and the Blackhearts (only 3 notes)

Hard to Handle - The Black Crowes

(These songs must be easy cos even I can play them!!)

Fill the set with 12 bar blues. Play them all in the dame key and you can simply repeat the same bass line.

I used to think all blues songs were the same, until I depped with a blues band... The bass has so much influence, it puts you in control especially if you're with a like-minded drummer. You can turn a plod into a shuffle at the drop of a hat.

Possibly subtlety has been my undoing, and therefore the point of the thread has been missed .

In the OP the song examples given feature NO BASS!

Yet this is Basschat. You want to play silly games, you go to Nobasschat 😁

However, on no account go to Nob âss chat 😮

Conversley, I've played with drummers / guitarists who can turn a shuffle into a plod.

Being as talented as they are, they can turn anything into a plod :(

'Subtlety'?  :scratch_one-s_head:

What is this 'subtlety' of which you speak?

Nah - you've lost me!

Anything by The Doors.  Their bassist is very easy to emulate 🤣

I know....... but the OP was asking for "Easiest set". If you learn one 12 bar bass part you COULD play it in every song.  Give me strength.
