I'd say it was Basschat famous before the truss rod failed for being one of the prettiest instruments we've ever seen on here.

It did go a bit global on a Facebook group or three for a while...

Although having said that the fretless 4-string is currently for sale so may not be mine for much longer.

Where is it for sale?

Is it famous for how it looks or because of the truss rod failure tho?

Fixed (like @Bridgehouse’s bass.)

Like all good stories, it has a beginning (look at this innovative, unconventional, beautiful bass), a middle (CRACK!), and an end (not just fixed but improved!).

90% plus of the gigs and recording I've done since being on BC have been my sunburst (Love the way the bass plays. Still hate sunburst) Precision with a black scratchplate. No point putting it in this thread. It'd be like turning up at a concours de'elegance with a white Transit.

Baroque nonsense? BAROQUE NONSENSE??? You're only 10 miles down the road from me, I'm on my way down now with a single white glove... prepare for a glove slap to the face and a challenge to a duel sir!

Yup, original on the left, and the one on the right for when I join Steel Panther...

As long as I can select kippers as the duelling weapons.

I've even found the original post:

(Though it has become a little fragmented)

Please also, if I may derail this thread temporarily, take a moment to remember "OldGit" Si Cox in the first picture. One of our very missed members of BassChat. RIP dude!

And well, I may as well continue my reign of terror in this thread by posting Shuker 7 string's little sister too:

A work of art that one and the first bass that came to mind.

Maybe a BCer still owns it?

Ah yes, I had it but sold it a few years ago -  I’ll try to find a pic (that really fits the bill)
