A fabulous sounding bass that's also a work of art and, a feat of engineering is a very difficult thing to produce. Yet here we are.
toneknob
Had one of these until a 3 or 4 years ago. Traded it in for another notable (but more for provenance than looks) - John Giblin's Takamine TB-10 that he used for Kate Bush's 'Before The Dawn' shows

Absolutely the best looking basses I've ever seen here or anywhere else. I'd absolutely love a Gus bass and hopefully one day I'll own one. I have to ask, what's the point? Backup if a string breaks? Alternative to having a D-tuner or 5-string?

pete.young
I'll always associate that black Celinder Jazz, that used to be the picture on the old site, with (Crazy) Kiwi. And how could I forget @Shockwave and his all-lime-green Pedulla, even down to the strings.
Si600
Has @TheGreek's Psilioloioiliolois build by @Andyjr1515 been mentioned yet?

Si600
Deserves being in the thread twice then 🙂 What happened to the purple bass that did the rounds for charity, it came to the Midlands Bass Bash one year.
Chris2112
The one that comes to mind for me is Crazykiwi's old Alembic Series I with a graphite neck. A total dream instrument for me. Another notable one was the 'Miss Myrtle' Status owned by OutToPlayJazz. I remember that one well. Was it sold to another BC'er?

The LEDs are insane and I don't even like Fenderesque basses. Is a diesel generator being run behind that backdrop?!??! 😀

TheGreek
Didn't this used to belong to somebody here? https://thebassgallery.com/collections/bass/products/warwick-thumb-double-neck
ead
My fav was a 'tribute' build of Chris Squire's green Mouradian bass. Sorry can't find the thread for pics.

It sounded fantastic (and was played fantastically too, I might add).
Chris2112
Whilst I don't want to appear to engage in some sort of braggadocio, it struck me when trying to think of other notable Basschat basses that I own one, as my Bogart Blackstone has been sold through the classifieds here (although I bought it from The Gallery). It used to belong to Stuart Clayton and he used it in the below video, which has nearly 60,000 views on YouTube. For a small brand like Bogart, that may make it the most-seen Bogart bass in the world. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDcc2zD62Ag
