Mzungu71 Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 (edited) Hello all, thanks again to everyone below for the advice regarding pricing this bass. It's now up for grabs and I've posted some piccies of it. I'm looking for the very reasonable price of £250.00. It could use a new B string, the other four strings are all newly on. I'd prefer (wouldn't everyone who sells an instrument on here) the buyer to pick up (I live in Lincoln) but I'm prepared to courier it if the buyer foots the bill. If I don't get any joy on here I'll ebay it but would prefer it to go to a fellow bass chatter Any questions, please do ask, but I'm not the most technically minded bass player on here, but I'll do my best. Cheers Edited January 30, 2009 by Mzungu71
josh3184 Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 never really known of one in green to be honest but I'd say (at a guess) Maybe £300-350? I'm sure other people will know a bit better

We are talking about the non-rockbass version of the Std aren't we? If it's the rockbass then you'd be looking at about £150 to £200 at a push I think, but I'm no expert.
rjb Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 (edited) If its a non-Rockbass version then start at around £200ish as Ben said. Edited January 19, 2009 by rjb
Mzungu71 Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 Oh and thanks for the advice, in the current circumstances, probably not worth a huge amount but comments and advice much appreciated
rjb Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 (edited) If you decide to keep hold of it you could always upgrade. I dropped a Seymour Duncan active circuit into mine and it really came alive. Edited January 22, 2009 by rjb
thisnameistaken Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 It looks like a cucumber! That's a cool (pun not originally intended but I'm pleased with it) finish.
Mzungu71 Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 Just to let you all know, I've stuck it on ebay too. Chars

The Burpster Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Why are these so cheap? They are cheaper than some models of Rockbass, are they not a popular model?
Mzungu71 Posted January 25, 2009 Author Posted January 25, 2009 You tell me chief, market forces bah!!!

Mzungu71 Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 Not entirelr sure to be honest, this one was an ebay impulse purchase! Ebay's always good, not to mention this forum, you can always ask the guitarist in your band (if you're in a band of course) to look out on any of the forums he or she frequents ( do that with our axe man).
