bornagainbass65
This turned up on my timeline. If we can sell six inches of old bass string for £22 then I reckon a few of us are sitting on a gold mine... Merry Christmas, everyone! 2
tony_m
My Other Half's quite "crafty" (in the nicest possible sense), I'll see if she can knock up a few of these! Ker-ching... 🤑
Cat Burrito
My wife bought me one for Christmas a few years back. I always wear it and like it. Obviously if people can cut costs by doing it themselves, great.
oldslapper
That’s a fantastic idea. Might give some to my daughter to do. Thanks for posting.
Al Krow
Great idea. Tell you what, if any of us starts doing this seriously / commercially and turns into a money spinner, that would be fantastic. I'd be more than happy to send my old bass strings for recycling to anyone doing that, rather than throwing them away.
yorks5stringer
Do you think they do one in Flatwounds...?

Bass Fumbler
The amount of gunk that comes off mine when I change my strings, I think I'll give this a miss!
SH73
Flats or tape wound, they are smooth for skin. Nickel gives me rash so needs to be steel.
phil.c60
A mate of mine's band have their old guitar strings made into bracelets which they sell at their merch stand. They sell very well, apparently, and are even tagged with which gig they are from. They've been doing it for a long time. They are very nicely made in an arty fashion, which helps.

dave moffat
Showed it to the missus, can't print the reply, so it's back to the usual Debenhams voucher. Do think they look kind cool but a thicker version would be nicer maybe a nickel and a bronze in a twist
