We won a BOTB's and the prize was to get a song recorded by by a big producer in Cardiff, they needed a sample of the song so we did a DIY basement job, now I know this is a rough version and the vocals are woeful (especially towards the end) but I'm wondering what you think of the song?

I like:

1. the guitar line
2. the ending
3. the off-beat stabs that happen every now and then (do you know what I mean?)
4. the drum fills

I'd change:

1. the drum groove - I've thought of one which I'd love to hear underneath the main guitar riff (it's a bit different to the kick-snare | kick-snare | thing happening but you guys might hate it).

Everything else seemed fine to me. Does that help? Punk's not my genre so I can't say if I love it or hate it.

Could you explain what you would change with the drums? I'm interested.

I thought it was pretty good, though I'm no expert on modern punk. I also liked the 'different' bits eg the stabs, and the slight breakdowns when the guitars drop out and it's mainly bass and drums. It could sound very powerful when tightened up/polished up in the studio.

I like it... and I know my mate (who is more into this kind of punk/rock than I am) would really like it. Seems a well-written song.

The only thing that grinded on me a little was that the two sets of vocals were a wee bit out of sync with each other. Not quite at the point of being an echo but not quite sounding like you're singing together. I don't agree with you that they're "woeful" though - that's too harsh.
