I love all the Xmas hits we've had over the years and wondered what everyone's favourite song was for Xmas.

I'll start with mine. Just makes me feel good every time i hear it.

Someone sent me this Xmas song. Not sure if will be allowed. Lyrics are a bit crude. Moderators discretion.

Its Kevin Bl**dy Wilson

In the bleak mid-winter

Frosty wind made moan

Earth stood hard as iron

Water like a stone

Snow had fallen snow

Snow snow on snow

In the bleak mid-winter

Long long ago

etc.

There, that's cheered everyone up!

Another vote for Jona Lewie here.

My daughter says she only has to hear the opening synth stabs of Wonderful Christmas Time and it instantly feels like Christmas.

Beat me to it! Love this tune, with a healthy load of Steve Van Zandt  & E Street Band input too.

Also anything off the Phil Spector Christmas album, and of course Bruce’s version of  ‘Santa Claus is coming to town’ always makes me smile.

There are a few of the classics I like but, the Nat King Cole, 1961 version of 'The Christmas Song', is top of my list.

Although arranged and conducted by the great Ralph Carmichael, it is pretty much the (terrific) Nelson Riddle arrangement from the early 50's... As for Nat and his voice...Well, not much to say really... 🎅

I never paid it much attention until the wife was watching Home Alone 2 a few years ago. I wasn’t really paying attention until I suddenly looked up and said “That’s Clarence playing sax!”

I had no idea it was the E Street Band until then.

This is probably my fave Xmas song just now.

I normally like Phil Wickham’s stuff (but his up tempo stuff, TBF). That was all a bit too John Lewis Christmas ad for my liking.

Some good songs suggested. Here are a few more of mine...

Got this Scottish singer’s album to review and really enjoyed it...

50% Lizzy, 50% Pistols = 100% Merry

What Crimble’s really like for many people...

Bert Jansch at his most (downbeat) festive...

All Brian’s Christmas albums are a staple in our house
