Shockwave Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 (edited) Ok so i am now really desperate for a 5 string fretted, however i cant let go of my Fender of Yamaha at this moment. So i have to officially sell this Stingray. Its a lovely example, Black sparkle with matching headstock, Maple FB, Hipshot D tuner. All original electronics and 5! yes thats FIVE knobs to play around with. The Piezo really captures the acoustic warmth that you might need, Plus you can dial in a balance between the magnetic and piezo pickup to get the best of both worlds. Currently set up with ultra light strings and ultra low action. There is a dent in the paintwork just above the scratchplate near the neck which is a shame but i never notice it So throw me out your offers. I will entertain good cash offers. Looking for Musicman 5 strings (Only decent/rare colours please) Warwick 5, Jazz 5/Musicman pup equipped 5. I may consider high end 4/6 string fretlesses as well. Selling for £700 Firm. Cheers! Rob. Edited February 21, 2009 by Shockwave

I have about 700 to play around with for a 5 string. I will still consider trades on the remaining basses or Part Ex's With money your way or my way.
I'm open to offers for my 'Ray 5er Rob.
Mace Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009
Plain wood dont mean much to me! Plus my 5ver went for alot less. (Yeah it wasent original but not 170 less original.
Fair enough but as you said yourself, apart form not being original, the colour of yours didn't float everyone's boat so perhaps that had a bearing on your final price - it's a buyers market... As an aside, I mentioned that I'm open to offers too, not necessarily a fixed price - didn't yours started alot higher when first listed?! Hey ho, good luck with your sales
sixshooter Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 What about a nice blue Jazz 5 string currently up for sale, with SIMs leds!!!!! Mine
mcgraham Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Could you not string the MM BEAD? Or get the Willis bass fretted? Mark

mcgraham Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009
I need the high G for soloey stuff as well Getting the Gary Willis fretless fretted would defeat the point.
Riiiight, you just keep telling yourself that. Mark
Mr. Foxen Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 You'd better not be selling the Fender or the Yammy till I've had a chance to get some pennies together.
Shockwave Posted February 7, 2009 Author Posted February 7, 2009 (edited) And no, an offer of 550 is pretty damn offensive. I am looking at 700 firm. Edited February 7, 2009 by Shockwave

http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...=stingray+piezo
Yup. Considering a normal black SR4 with non matching headstock and no peizo sold for 650 recently, I think 700 is a fair asking price. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...amp;hl=musicman And also going by other current prices of unsold "normal" SR4's (IE no matching headstock, LM edition colour, no peizo) have 725 being asked for i think this is also a fair price. The Musicman market has recovered since the credit crunch began. As people are finding importing Musicmans far more expensive then it was a few months ago. I would also like to add, this one comes with a MM hardcase also. Edited February 7, 2009 by Shockwave
