I'm pretty sure Fender have been offering Maple necks since their inception of the Telebass, infact, I'd go as far to say that probably >95% of all Fenders have Maple necks, might be some custom shops and or prototypes using something different though. Now, Maple fretboards on the other hand are a completely different matter and it's nice to see them on their lower ranges. Quote
