bubinga5 Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 (edited) Its just sublime and Steely Dan always take me by surprise no matter how many times I hear there albums ..  Denny Dias/Elliot Randall on solo guitar, Chuck Rainey on bass, Bernard Purdie on drums. What a groove they lay down.  đźÂ imo.  Edited December 23, 2019 by bubinga5 4 Quote
MGB Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 Couldn't agree more. Come to think of it, for me Steely Dan  is probably the only band that managed to make three (or maybe even four) albums in a row that haven't got a weak moment on it. Katy Lied, The Royal Scam, Aja and Gaucho. And the ones before that aren't too shabby eitherđ. Quote

Bilbo Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 I discovered these guys later in life when someone played me the Two Against Nature DVD. Great grooves, great songs, great sounds, great harmonies. Katy Lied was my favourite. Quote
