dougal
Has anyone got one or read any independent reviews? My rather tatty bass case has finally seperated from one of it's carrying handles and really needs to be replaced. I want the Ritter, but apparently they've changed distributors so they aren't readily available. Mikey D
I know of three people who bought these cases and they seem much better made than most. Great value. I'm currently thinking about getting on for my double as well.
BigBeatNut
I know someone who has one. He had one complaint and I think it was about wheeled cases in general more than this one. Apparently what happens if you spend a lot of time wheeling it about on pavements and using public transport, then the outer edges of the body (top and back table) jiggle about against the case and can ultimately take off the finish. As a result of this, he goes through an elaborate procedure with packing materials such as bubble-wrap to prevent the abrasion happening. As I said, I think this issue is more about wheeled cases than about this brand. I think he was happy with the case otherwise.
bassace
Wheels seem a good idea - I 've got a wheeled cover on one of mine. However, you wheel the bass along, it picks up crap and wet from the footway and you lift it into the car. Result, crap and wet in the car. On balance, I don't like wheels. dougal
I terms of wheels I already have a Gaines Bass wheel from Bob: I'm guessing that it'll only be very short hops from car to playing space & back that I use the internal wheels for. Apart from the T&W, the only other one I've been recommended is the Gewa Jaeger Rolly. I think I'll take a punt on the T&W. Cheers.
