Owen Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 I am building a bass. Very slowly. Indeed. However I have been considering how to finish and, today, I fancy Duck egg blue but in a matte finish. How hard is that? Is it do-able or would it just get shiny at the wear points? Quote
EBS_freak Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 Its doable - but will go shiny over time. Quote
Owen Posted December 25, 2019 Author Posted December 25, 2019 That is the conclusion I had come to but was hoping I was wrong. I frequently am. Quote
martthebass Posted December 25, 2019 Posted December 25, 2019 I love the look of matte finishes but I know my ocd would play hell up with the development of shiny bits. Quote
EBS_freak Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 You can keep wet and drying back to a satin/matte finish. Quote
