Owen
I am building a bass. Very slowly. Indeed. However I have been considering how to finish and, today, I fancy Duck egg blue but in a matte finish. How hard is that? Is it do-able or would it just get shiny at the wear points? EBS_freak
Its doable - but will go shiny over time.
Owen
That is the conclusion I had come to but was hoping I was wrong. I frequently am.
martthebass
I love the look of matte finishes but I know my ocd would play hell up with the development of shiny bits.
EBS_freak
You can keep wet and drying back to a satin/matte finish.

That is a level of maintenance which is way beyond my patience level. It was a nice idea though Thanks
