A string suddenly went unresponsive....imagine my surprise when I saw that the intonation screw had gone awol. Anyone any idea where I can pick up a replacement? Tried a few places now without success as they don't seem to be able to request the parts from Fender. Poor little blue is still sat in the corner unable to join the party with its inadequate 3 strings. Thanks Neil, I think the current ones are imperial but I might give these a shot. Pretty much resigned to having to get a set of 4 anyhow and likely the saddles to mate up. first time in nearly 40 years that I’ve lost a bridge screw - it would have to happen on an ‘awkward’ bass. Stub Mandrel Posted January 24, 2020 Share Posted January 24, 2020 I've measured the screws on my MIM Jazz. They are ~1/8" diameter by 32tpi which makes them #5 UNC. Put "#5 UNC pan head screw" into Google or eBay and you should find what you need easily enough. Length 40mm for the E and A strings, 45mm for D and G. While I was waiting for Fender UK to get back to me I took a punt on a cheap £5 generic BBOT bridge off of that there ebay and bugger me the screws fit the existing saddles and were long enough to achieve intonation. I must admit the different ways of measuring screws make my head spin, but basically I want some longer than standard to give me some wiggle room when downturning.
