A change is always good so thght Id have a go at a load of those old American cop themes and Ive got to say the Kojak one is a stonker to play, taken a bit of figuring without a chart but Ive just about got it...big fun indeed. Anyway, Magnum, Streets of San Francisco, Bullit, Cagney & Lacey....really exciting stuff to play.

Nice one, I’m familiar with the theme to Kojak because I watched some of the episodes lately, there’s some really funky tunes in that show

Riviera Paradise by Steveie Ray Vaughn.

The Bass part is dead easy but Im also playing keys (Hammond B3) with my feet.

Using a midi footswitch, ipad mini and free programme called Dreamfoot as well as garageband.

Also learning Since I've been loving You by Led Zep with organ parts supplied by EHX C9 pedal.

Hopefully ready for next gig in a weeks time!

Yeah, I was rather afraid of that, but the others seem less bothered by the prospect! Funnily enough, "I'd Rather Go Blind" did also enter the discussion, but TW won out in the end. 🤷‍♂️

Same chords if you play is wrote, but I add a V bass note at the turn around back to the 1 chord. Some will say a heinous crime, for other it gives a comfortable resolution

An extra F# in passing back to the A or have I got the wrong end of the stick?

I’ve been really enjoying working my way through this for something different, such a nice Bassline and song , anyone know who the bass player was

Wonderful stuff indeed, I love the Philly thing. Could be Scott Edwards, Ronnie Baker.. pretty sure its not Jamerson, his last hit was Rock The Boat which I think preceeds this gem..

Thanks very much for that info diskwave , if you like a jamerson Bassline have a look on his channel and on his playlists he’s got over 100 with tabs with lots of different artists
