You’re gonna need a Red Bull subscription to keep up with that 😂

There's a bit, about 2 mins I to that vid, where Troy just shakes his right hand. I might need a support!

Thought I would have a crack at I Wish by Stevie Wonder, finding it tough, so repetitive, drop a note and you are totally out of sync, struggling to play it at the tempo with full accuracy, I think I’m at 90% of the tempo after spending thirty minutes on it.

Phew.

I Wish is a great line and loads of fun to play. Easy to get it  most of the way there but the feel is tricky, as is nailing the sound. Those mad upper octave slide wigout things are very cool when you get them right and make you look a total chump if you get it slightly off. SBL did a YouTube vid on it a couple of years ago that was good for breaking down the little bridge bit in the middle and for general advice on feel that you might want to check out.

It's a hard line - every not counts, and terrific fun.

Here, a version with the "weww-weww-weww" slides. I think that I am ready to try that extra bit, having learned the line a few years back.

Having worked up Tom Petty's "I Won't Back Down" and Joe Walsh's "One Day at a Time" over the last couple of rehearsals, we (Rascallion) have decided to take a detour into Steve Miller Band territory, so "The Joker" and "Rock'n Me" are now installed on the faithful Tascam MP-BT1 ready to have a go at.

Dani California (RHCP) - putting the main riff on a loop and practicing the fills between each cycle

Save a Prayer (Duran Duran) - so nice to play, the bass line is almost the melody

Le Freak (Chic)  - I can get up to speed, but how long can I stay there and will I last the whole 5m27?  .... No.  Can I do the fills , also frankly no ....  ? If you click the link you can see Tom do it properly

Hungry like the Wolf (Duren Duran) - fun when I get tired after the above

That’s on my learn list for the next few days. One of the few on the list I’ve never played before. After that it’ll be Bohemian Rhapsody.
