Not gigging much lately and need some songs to practice with.

Id describe myself as 'intermediate' level. Any suggestions ?

I've really enjoyed this one. Really fun to play and not too difficult.

How about some stuff by Bad Religion or Danzig?

Some are easy, some are quite hard (to me anyway)

Might be worth a look and a play.

A Little Respect, the Wheatus version.

Very simple to play, but strangely satisfying.

Come Up And See Me, Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel.  A nice little workout for an intermediate player, good exercise for your scale skills.

And Dani California. Not quite as formally technical as Come Up And See Me, probably a bit more improv by Flea, but an interesting workout.

Come Up and See Me is a brilliant song to learn and play. Nice choice.

If I Ever Lose This Heaven, AWB version. For the fifth time..

Great tune, wish I was in a band doing it.

Was only thinking about this yesterday - we were gigging in Dundee, home of AWB.

Ashokan Farewell, was hunting around for various versions to learn the melody to play on harmonica and found a version with a decent bass line. I seem to be going through a phase for this kind of music at the moment.

I’m learning “groove is in the heart”, bassline by bootsy Collins

Love that.

I've just tackled never too much by Luther vandross. I've just about got it down finger style now going to attempt slap style as my first foray in to slap.

Me and the drummer play that when we are warming up. Its a great little riff.

I am currently learning Nirvana Lounge act, for no reason I can establish, its not on the list of songs I should be learning but it was on the other day so I decided to!

I’ve been meaning to put some time aside to get this together properly, I bought it when it first came out and I’ve played it before but I drift off into my own version, so I’m going for the extended mix today

I'm learning Ace Of Spades. It should be easier than it is. Need to loosen up the right wrist.

Because he plays chords a lot i struggle with Lemmy songs being a fingerstyle player. I have managed Ace of Spades by using my index finger like a pic.

Good fun to play tho.

I must be the only hard rock bass player to have just learned the chart hit "Feels" for no real reason whatsoever.

I dont even know what the song is and i'm generally hard to classic rock. 😂

Bohemian Rhapsody

Not learning it by heart, just getting my head and fingers round the tricky bits so that I can read the dots confidently when I play it (as a dep) at next Friday’s party gig. The click track through IEMs will help!

I mostly play with a pick so it's not a problem to play the chords. I found using a thinner pick is helping.

I've got surprisingly close to Lemmys tone considering I play a Stingray. Two Notes le bass on the dirty channel plus Darkglass vintage microtubes plus loads of gain on the amp and eq with lots of treble and mids and no bass. All that to get close to what Lemmy gets with just a bass and amp

Ok not really learning just jammin.  Cool the way YTube makes an auto mix as you look thru vids etc.

Current one has American Pie, a load of Wings stuff, Drifters, Philly Soul (yes thks) Elton , ABBA and a ton of ye olde pop stuff (Nolans anyone?...haha.

Played it all back in the day so I hit the start button and before I know it...a couple of hrs has disappeared.  I do find the old stuff bass wise very satisfying to play.

I'm learning "Losing My Religion" (Rem) and "American. Jesus "  (Bad Religion)

I've just mastered Last Caress (Misfits). Not hard for you lot but I'm rubbish.

We played Losing my Religion for years and it was recently I heard the bass track on its own and I realised I had been playing it wrong all these years. I picked it up purely by listening to the cd and playing along with it. It fitted but I was surprised how many differences there were in the proper bass line.
