I'm fully aware that you lot will be able to play this in your sleep, but hey, I'm a beginner!  I'm absolutely loving playing this in my living room, and it's coming to band practise with me for the first time on Monday night.  Wish me luck...

I really enjoyed learning Losing My Religion by REM so thought I'd try another of their songs.

What's the Frequency Kenneth was an alt rock classic from my youth. Turns out it's not as easy as I expected. It's a good one though

Not having access to a time machine will complicate the middle section.

Not sure what you mean there. The Pre chorus sounds like there's a couple tricky little bits but nothing too unreasonable.

Just the bit during the guitar solo, the "timing" is tricky.

Now I see. Weird rhythms. Something I need to get better at, it'll be a good exercise.

A Nobel prize in physics awaits if you can crack it.

Rusty Cage by Soundgarden has vexed me for years.  I know the first half of the song is ultimately a 4/4, but I'm damned if I can find/hear the 'one' when I listen to it, and I've listened, A LOT hahaha..

The second half of the song, which is technically more challenging time signature-wise,  I can get that no problem, weird!

I just found Rusty Cage to be an endurance test. It's fast and doesn't give you a rest

Well for something completely different I’ve downloaded the tab and backing track to this and I’m going to give it a go over time, although at 1.20 I don’t think its going to happen quite like Miki 😁, should be fun

I’ve been invite back for a second rehearsal/audition so have got a few tracks on the go at the moment.
Whilst hopeful that I get the gig, am terrified of a 36 song setlist landing in my lap, with looming dates booked!

Latest two we started on last week are End of The Line (Travelling Wilburys), and the single version of Don't Fear The Reaper - think it's fair to say the latter is going to be a much-simplified version, but we'll see how we get on!

Other than that, we've also got a few numbers (including Life In The Fast Lane, Heartache Tonight, How Long, and Rocky Mountain Way) which myself, Mr Drums and Mr Lead Guitar have got sorted, but which Mr Rhythm Guitar and Mr Singer / Acoustic Guitar seem to have forgotten all about / lost interest in... 🤨

You should have no problems with The Reaper, it’s a doddle, we used to do the extended album version. 👍

Haha, thank you for that vote of confidence, but we're all struggling with it so far! That said, I'm sure we'll come up with a reasonable stab at it and hopefully surprise a few people - it's definitely not a tune that gets trotted out regularly round here. 👍

You wreck me -  Petty  ( RIP )  in F , except one of the guitarists now wants to do it in E

No perspiration.  Easy song.  6th track we do of Petty's

Just be sure to have enough cowbell. -_-

For something different I’ve added this one to my list, the more I listen to it the more I like it, was going to use this video as a shortcut for the notes, does anyone play this tune

Got a fabulous bassline,  both verse and chorus.

I'm the only band member that has it completely sorted, but its early days

One of my favourite basslines of all time.  Bruce Thomas at his very best.
