warwickhunt Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 AKAI Headrush, idiot proof (I got it to work). £95-£100 at SoundControl. I think you may find that you get a difference of opinion on this subject! Quote

ARGH Posted August 6, 2007 Author Posted August 6, 2007 Can any of these multi-track,as to intergrate loops as and when I please? (Think Frippatronics) Quote
steve Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 the rc20xl has 11 separate tracks, and you can overdub each one in real time, but there are some limitations - the jamman I think is the same. The jamman is probably a better choice than the rc20xl because it uses memory cards, but it's more expensive Quote

(Think Frippatronics)
I'm not an expert but if you mean by that can you layer tracks over the top of your original loop, then yes the AKAI does that... and with ease, as many times as you like. However, if you wish to erase a track you don't like then you have to erase all back to the original loop (which is still saved until you wish to erase it). Quote
ARGH Posted August 7, 2007 Author Posted August 7, 2007 Thankyou everyone, for the advice,on the insistance of the geezer in Electromusic in Doncaster,I tried the Boss. It seemed simple enough, and was fun, this sort of thing seems quite basic though, but rather rugged in construction (something Ive always insisted upon). The only question I have left is £170 reasonable for such a box of tricks? Quote
Alun Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 (edited) I'd have a look on eBay. I picked one up for £145 plus postage and it looks like they still have them HERE They get them sent from the US, but I still got mine in less than a week and they're brand new and unopened. Cheers, Alun EDIT - for some reason that link isn't wokring for me at the moment, so this is the full URL if you need it..
