Delays..loops

[ARGH]

I need to get one of these things.Im really green about this sort of thing.

I want a floor unit,timeable delay..as in i can start/finish the delay as/when I wish.

and it has to be made of metal.

Can any of these multi-track,as to intergrate loops as and when I please?

the rc20xl has 11 separate tracks, and you can overdub each one in real time, but there are some limitations - the jamman I think is the same. The jamman is probably a better choice than the rc20xl because it uses memory cards, but it's more expensive

I'm not an expert but if you mean by that can you layer tracks over the top of your original loop, then yes the AKAI does that... and with ease, as many times as you like. However, if you wish to erase a track you don't like then you have to erase all back to the original loop (which is still saved until you wish to erase it).

Thankyou everyone,for the advice,on the insistance of the geezer in Electromusic in Doncaster,I tried the Boss.

It seemed simple enough,and was fun,this sort of thing seems quite basic though,but rather rugged in construction (something Ive always insisted upon).

The only question I have left is £170 reasonable for such a box of tricks?

They get them sent from the US, but I still got mine in less than a week and they're brand new and unopened.

I've just gone through this.... buy a Jam Man.... far better than the rest and you can save loops via usb to your computer.....
