Jaykingfunk
Morning all, I’m looking to purchase some of the moulded ear plugs for gigging as I’ve trained various ‘standard fit’ types but they just aren’t quite right. I gig most weekends and need to look after my hearing better. I’ve read about the moulded plugs being the best for not distorting/colouring the sound but not sure what brand to go for? What are other people using and what would you recommend based on you experience of them? I’m a front man who sings and plays bass in a Mod/Indie band and we have a very loud drummer! Thanks in advance, J.
mep
There are 2 parts to these. The moulded plugs and the filters. ACS filters are very popular. I have Elacin ones which are much the same. Both are very good and worth the price. Invest in a decent pair and you won't look back. Plenty of threads about these here.

Thanks in advance, J. Stop what you're doing and go here: https://www.hearformusicians.org.uk/ You can get custom-moulded ACS Pro 17s for £40. They're incredible.
Cuzzie
ACS custom - they have a load of hearing shops around the country that will do the mould of your ear, send it off, a week or so later you have excellent plugs - they even do laser etching so you can write a sweet message on them for this looking at your ears. Pro 15s if you are singing in any way, pro 17s should be enough, but obvs slightly less definition. Great for actual gigs to see live, turns it into a very pleasurable experience Edited January 29, 2020 by Cuzzie Fat thumbs
EBS_freak
ACS are great for filtered earplugs, especially if you can get them through the link that WoT posted above.
