mikegatward Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 Can anybody confirm if the One Ten cab has been produced in different ‘generations’ ? i have been asked what generation my cab is (which is for sale on here) and I thought they were all the same spec The serial number is 198 as attached Thanks in anticipation 😊 Quote
jrixn1 Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 They rebranded from "Retro One 10" to "One10" but there was no spec change. I found this TalkBass post from 2015 in which Alex Claber says: "we're in the process of rebranding all the Retro cabs because they're more tonally versatile and 'transparent' than the Retro tag suggests." Merton Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 Yep. Basically yours is an early iteration of the cab, but it’s not like the distinct “Gen 1/ Gen 2” Compacts and Super Twelves etc. It’s possibly part of the “Gen 3” range but (I think) strictly speaking that’s the Super Compact, Super Twin, Big Baby II etc... mcnach Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 There haven't been different versions, technically, but there's been at least three different kinds with regards to the glue and/or tolex used to finish the cabs. 1 2 Quote
Pea Turgh Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Bought mine early 2019 and the tolex was fine - til a feckin mouse chewed a bit off the back!!! 1 Quote

mikegatward Posted December 31, 2019 Author Posted December 31, 2019 Thanks for all the useful info - another guy happily bought the cab today 😊 Quote
dannybuoy Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 There was a 2nd version of the Two10 that let you switch between 4 and 12 ohm impedance, but that won't apply to the single One10. Quote
