wateroftyne Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 WoT Snr is far, far handier on the tools than I am. He's just built me a stand, and it's marvellous. Have a look... 42 Quote
Piers_Williamson Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Does he do commissions? It looks 'the elephant's pajamas'! Quote

Woodinblack Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 My dad had the woodworking skills of an accountant. Sadly he was very keen to exersize those skills, and we had a lot of angled shelves, and wobbly cupboards! One day I came downstairs and he was fitting a sliding door in the kitchen. He was nailing the running board at the bottom in. I said "Dad, you are supposed to use screws for that", He said "Ah, ok, thanks". Next time I came down he was hammering screws in. I didn't say anything. 1 6 Quote
steantval Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 I love the air guitars in the bottom two pictures. 2 Quote

Paul S Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Proper job. Love the adjustable spacers. I assume, Michael, you don't subscribe to the notion that all Precisions sound the same? Quote

ambient Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 It’s not just a bass stand though is it? It’s a work of art, fabulous. 1 Quote
HazBeen Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 But why do you store your basses in’t garden? Surely they get wet there ..... 😂 Proper job which will give you a lifetime of pleasure no doubt. Quote
synthaside Posted January 3, 2020 Posted January 3, 2020 (edited) I have never wanted anything so much that i cant have .... that is fantastic ... i had been looking at something similar on a stand website and they go for close to if not over £200 ... https://www.stand-made.co.uk/product-category/multi-guitar-stand-racks/retro-style-multi-guitar-stands/ I reckon if you dad ever needs a sideline he'd have a queue going out the door. pete.young Posted January 3, 2020 Posted January 3, 2020 That looks great, and not beyond the bounds of possibility for anyone who can hold a jigsaw. What did he use for the three cross pieces? Quote
