gjones
His bass player, Vail Johnson, was a member of Basschat for a short while, until he got chased off by armchair experts.
chris_b
Keb Mo is the man. I have most of the CD's and each one is a bass playing master class. Almost every band I play in does at least one of his songs. Reggie McBride is one of my all-time favourite bass players. Current bassist, Stan Sargent, is excellent too. . . . . . . . . . . I've just seen, he's playing Subterania on the 22nd January. Check out the tour page on his website for other gigs in the UK and Europe. songofthewind
Saw Reggie McBride with Rickie Lee Jones in Edinburgh in 1979. He would lick his fingers before he did a bit of popping and slapping. Fabulous player!

I remember that bs. He's the guy who made me realise I don't need a compressor on stage. And I've never looked back, or sounded better since.

dannybuoy
I'd never heard of Keb Mo until I searched for demos of the Godin A4 (which I ended up buying) and found this cover: https://youtu.be/9Q2ru-mXTg8
