Delberthot
Found this while raking through Youtube. not the greatest video quality but sound is fine http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=OHHYWiTSNcI&...feature=related At first I thought he was using a Rick when I looked at the body then noticed the stubby headstock and realised that it was a Kubicki. thisnameistaken
Can't believe he put his pie down for long enough to play that tbh.
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE
One of the best ever. We're not worthy

Even with a pie in each hand I'm betting he can still play better than you.
WalMan
And he's a top bloke. Saw him at a Peavey demo evening in Portsmouth a few years back and had a most enjoyable evening. Chat, anecdotes and cracking playing as well as being happy to stand around afterwards & chat.
ARGH
WOW..Old and large Stuart Hamm, this reminds me of being 14 again, him working with Satriani...Big hair and super solos ala Sheehan. Show some respect. He's a good player, both as a soloist and as a backing guy.
Rich
Agreed. He's a lovely bloke -- went to a clinic of his back in 1996, he was great. Unbelievable playing, so good you almost wanted him to be a tosser so you could hate him, but no... he stayed and chatted for ages afterwards, signing stuff and explaining techniques and just talking with people. No arrogance, no ego, just a nice guy.
Josh
A beast, but a tad bit repetitive.

Anyway, while it's a clever party piece, it still sounds bad.

No doubt you and the many will moan about the start as Stu plays something fun, along with Satch. These guys leave trad minded pondlife in the dust, considering Stuart lost a ton of weight in the 90s 'Fat' Stu jokes are really really passe.... And look close,NO ryth player..thats the strength of The Hamm-ster.
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE
I also went to one of his clinics in '96 at the basscentre wapping. Top bloke . Shame the bx3 thing hasn't come to the uk

Even more for that shirt in the video you linked. And let's be honest he still fairly porky in that one.
Rich
And as we know, a nice shirt & a trim waistline are what really makes a good bassist.

7string
One of the great bass players. "Country Music" anyone (Love the "Hey, play a polka..". shout right at the end of the track). I met him years ago at a Clinic in Wapping (could have been the 1996 one but I can't remember) and I was playing a Sherwood Green Urge Mk1 at the time. I put my hand up and told him that I play an Urge because it's a damn good bass and not because it had his name on it. He was so pleased to here it that I got 2 backstage passes for the Satriani gig the following night. Had a beer with him after the show, chatted with the rest of the band and got to meet Joe Satriani. Great player, great bloke.
