Fractalman
Hi everyone, just thought a quick intro would be in order as I'm new to Basschat and fairly new to playing bass, well I bought my first bass 18 months ago and I'm loving it! My bass is an old Washburn Force 4, which I love but someone in its murky past has stripped the truss rod (advice to self: check before you buy next time!) so I've had to choose strings to match the neck and cope with a high action. Hey ho. I've been playing through the usual books and a few songs and trying to drop old guitar habits from 20 years ago 🤔.. and I need some lessons! Looking forward to joining the Basschat community. Cheers!

stewblack
Welcome @Fractalman, good to have another Basschatter with a BA postcode on board. Sign up for the South West Bass Bash, it's a great day out and you'll meet some fine bass players - and one or two half decent people too. Almost guaranteed to meet someone who can help with that truss rod as well!
Fractalman
Thanks stewblack, I will definitely look into the South West Bass Bash; it sounds like a fun event.
BreadBin
The SWBB is a great event. I'm a big fan of old Washburns, I'd love to see yours 👍
