Billy Apple
Is it me or is there lots of activity in the Marketplace? There seems to be some really decent stuff going up (Ampeg V4B for me) but I'm broke ☹️ What's the story.. everyone skint after Christmas so unloading gear?
Silvia Bluejay
Either that, or they have received what they were currently GASsing for as a Christmas present, BUT subject to promising to get rid of another item in their rig.
cetera
It's all the people who bought Mesa gear in the Guitar Guitar sale now having to sell stuff to pay their VISA bills
Burns-bass
Tax bills for me - end of year. Corporation Tax and personal too. Surprisingly high this year for a variety of reasons, hence my less than beloved items are all looking for new homes.
Shambo
I was planning to sell some stuff, clear the decks for the new year type thing, but I suspect a few other people are having the same idea so I'll wait a bit.

You’re a man of exquisite taste - what you selling? (MUST RESIST!)
Lozz196
Have left my band, no gigging in the foreseeable future so offloading everything that I don`t need - who knows, I might even be able to get into my spare room after it`s all gone 😮
Billy Apple
Oh, by the way. This topic is not for circumventing the Marketplace. Anyone posts offering gear will be deleted with a warning

I had to leave Sean, the toll of gigging far & wide finally caught up with me, just can`t hack it any more - and with the band now signed to a German label the work would be even more far-flung and more often. The band has a replacement, Mick Maverick, formerly of The Gonads, his first gig is this Sunday in The 100 Club.

mentalextra
Well, the 'sell anything' section is always doing well. There's a bloke on there who always seems to be selling newish Macbook's, quality cameras, or quality HiFi. Good luck to him, and not that its any of my business, but wow?
la bam
Too right theres loads of activity! Everytime I boost my bass for sale to the top of page 1, with an hour I'm suddenly back on page 2 because of all the activity! Everyones got the same idea at the same time
BrunoBass
Lots of activity for sure, but not much in the way of Precisions. Loads of Js seemingly, but noticeably few Ps. Are Jazz Basses out of vogue?

Post Christmas bills traditionally mean people want/need to offload stuff to boost the Exchequer. A good time to buy if you have the funds.
