Award Session are equally as good in my opinion and a Speakon lead would be even better but I assume your setup hasn't got Speakon sockets. If you do fancy rolling your own, then, as Bigguy recommends above, the Neutrik speaker jacks are excellent - plenty of room in them to use a proper gauge of speaker cable (anything of good quality, such as Van Damme as he suggests, will be fine). From memory only the 4mm cables are fit well. .If you use the 2.5mm* cable some of the smaller jacks are OK. Just don’t scrimp on the plugs, most Neutrik, Switchfraft and Amphenol jack plugs are. OK at fairly high currents but generic jack plugs are often only good for 1 amp or even as little as half an amp. I am away at the moment but will check my “facts” tomorrow asI have most plugs and cables at home. * for short amp to can cables, 2.5mm is more than good enough, 4mm is overkill. itu Posted March 4, 2020 Share Posted March 4, 2020 2.5 mm2 cable is able to carry (230 V x 16 A) 3.7 kW RMS easily, while a 4 mm2 cable can carry (230 V x 20 A) 4.6 kW RMS. Someone may say, that the numbers are low, but the whole cable includes connectors and connections, too, so these wattages are on the safe side.
