philw
Biggus, I know a bit about back problems so you have my sympathy. Two thoughts. First. Somebody early in the thread mentioned the Status Electro. I'd agree - nice bass, much more versatile than you might imagine and very light. I kind of regret letting mine go. Second, as you'll see in my sign-off I represent Veillette Guitars (www.veilletteguitars.com) in the UK. I have an ex demo, and light, Single Cut Retro that I'd happily do a good deal on for a BassChat member with a dodgy back. The bass was reviewed in Bass Guitar Mag a year or so ago. Third, I was about to suggest giving you my fretless Wal, but damn, it's a bit heavy. Phil
woolleydick
Hi everyone, and many thanks for all the suggestions. I am going to try the Hohner steinberger-a-like sticky thing courtesy of a fellow basschatter and see how I get on from there. One of the restrictions with being in a country like Libya is there is hardly any choice of stuff to try and one has to go on other people's recomendations, so all the opinions are very useful, thanks again. If I can get used to the very small body size I might be paying Status a visit next time I am in the UK to try out their new Streamline with a view to ordering one, but that is far too far into the future! For now, my Grabber is the lightest thing I have so that will see action for the time being. The 70's 'Ray is staying in its wall hanger. Please keep going on the thread if you want to it is still interesting. Biggus
ashevans09
I'll be honest I couldn't be arsed to read through all the responses, so sorry if it's already been mentioned! My Pedulla Rapture is pretty light if you can stretch your budget to that. Cheers, Ash
