well, a compressor would be nice, and more than just a 3 band EQ, a 7 band graphic would be nice. That hartke just doesn't appeal to me that much...
Fair play. I have a growly bass with nice inherent tone, an excellent pedal compressor and a fuzz box for the fuzzy bits. I could never stop fiddling with the Peavey or ABM pre's I had and I always ended up tweaking this & tweaking that, looking for something else and trying some magic new combination of knobs & sliders which I was never satisfied with. I'm much happier with just bass, middle & treble to choose from. From the LH-500 thread, it seems everyone is using the same settings of 7, 5 & 2! I'm not even using the MicroBass anymore, waste of money that was. Horses for courses.

Plus i'd be scared of blowing my speakers!
I thought about the 500w version [and a bunch of other amps too], but I just wanted to keep it simple & 'future-proof' myself. You can never have too much headroom either.

Good luck in your quest.

Best future proofing is a 'vintage' amp. Like Joe Garcias 100w Marshall for example.
