dub_junkie
Both a new sonic blue G&L Tribute JB-2 and a new trans black Cort GB75JH arrived today. Spent most of the evening setting them up and got them both playing pretty much to my liking. the artificial light makes the JB-2 look white (it’s a pale washed out blue in natural light) and the see thru grain on the Cort doesn’t show on these pics either. Shame as they’re both very pretty in the daytime. The Cort will be my back up 5 string for gigs and the JB2 is simply to re-ignite my fondness for the brand. Been a while but I owned a fair number of both USA and Tribute models way back. next up I’m after a Sire V7 in one of those sexy new colours! Cuzzie
Nice What are the necks like on the Tribby’s
dub_junkie
The neck on the JB-2 is a medium C and very comfy. Finish on the back of the neck appears to be different to the Tributes I had in the past. Seems thinner, less plastic feeling now. Much prefer the feel of this one. Just checked on the G&L instrument pages and the main difference between this and the G&L Tribute JB (offset, fender jazz-a-like) is the fingerboard radius. 12” on the JB-2 vs 9.5” on the JB Keir
