neilb
I am so impressed by the 70s Classic Jazz (MIM) I have, I have pulled the trigger on one of the new MIM 2009 Standard Precisions in Artic White with the maple board. Sounslive are doing them for £399 I will swap out the plate for a nice tort jobby. Edited February 5, 2009 by neilb

joe_bass
Nice! Great addition the maple fretboards on the new MIMs.
Jono Bolton
I'm not a fan of the 70's-style logo, but I'm glad the MIM range is finally available with a maple neck option, for ages a rosewood fingerboard was the only choice. Looks nice though, I'm sure it'll look cracking with a tort scratchplate too.
neilb
Thanks, I will post some pics when I get it with the new plate. Re the 70s logo, Fender state it has a "70s style logo", but its not. The "Precision Bass" decal is on a straight line whereas in the late 60s/70s it was on a slope, if you see what I mean. Anway, I like it.

lonestar
Great stuff . Looking forward to hearing from you how it sounds/plays. I have a '93 Mex St**tocaster. It's really good compared to my US one.

I much prefer it to the '50's style one on the US made Fenders. I wish they'd go back to the old 70's 'TV' logo.
