Love the ad, and love the bass.

Just occasionally I wonder what two basses I'd buy (one fretted, one fretless) though Basschat if I were to sell my Wal (not ever going to happen). Your lovely Sandberg would currently cover the fretless element of that thought experiment.

Very good luck with the sale.

Lovely!

Sandbergs (to me) have the look of “quiet authority” about them.
It’s like they know what they can do, and know they can do it well, so have no need to shout about it. And yet at the same time they’re very attractive and know it too.

They're a standoffish Carol Vorderman.

I think the fretboard, which actually isn't one as there are no frets in it (not on it as they would be gone with the wind), or more unprecisely the fingerboard as you can't see any fingers on it, is more made out of brownie wood, like the cookies, but way much harder, unless you can't cook and make brownies as hard as concrete or maybe use concrete instead of flour, that often end up on the floor, that said, hence the close name to be sure you can't get wrong.

So, long story short, it's Pau Ferrosewood in fact.

Please don't forget your donation.

Well, I guess it's time to disagree with Frank Blank again, or him with me.  Sandberg's board chairman on cutting costs in personing the design department:  ""Müssen wir wirklich jemanden einstellen, der uns sagt, wir sollen Fender sklavisch kopieren?"

Actually I do wonder why so many basses are churned out in the default Fender shapes, I suppose the majority of players are just used to them. I’ve not (so far) found one I liked enough to keep. I bought a Sandberg late last year but haven’t had the chance to pick it up yet, I can’t imagine it will drag me away from my Rob Allens for long! We disagree (at least me with you) on very little in reality.

In my pursuit of owning “Twin basses” I’ve owned a few sets, now I’m regressing to 34” I was needing a 4 string 34”:unlined fretless to go with my fretted 4 string Thumb NT . What did I do, buy a lovely Fretless 5 string rendering the twin theory unworkable, and now you put this up... I’m fecked. Lovely bass would have suited me perfectly... but,  I’m too far in the hole to even consider this. GLWTS

I know, right?!...

Manufacturers should step away from the obvious and start looking sideways; at the less conventional body*...

I think I speak for all “Low-enders" when I say - “Where is the Bass version?!.."

Who's with me?!... anyone?... ...anyone at all?...

Trust Ted to go and lower the tone of the thread... ¬¬ who's thread is this anyway?... What a crappy looking Sandberg, where's the frets?!.. oh wait!!..

Dunno about Carlsberg but it would appear that Jarlsberg like to dabble in the music biz...Screenshot_20210427-190256.thumb.png.6e2faa7362efce24c7c576a6ab0e048f.png
