Metal Box, my top album of all time.

I think 'The Suit' was probably the second bassline I learned all the way through. 😛

I think the first was 'Public Image'.

Hi maartian, they’ve been around since about 2010 and I’ve heard the occasional track, but I’ve been going through their work, there’s some I’m not sure about , but it’s worth having a look , there’s some great Basslines in there, I’ve stolen a few 😁

Under Me SlengTeng - Wayne Smith. Widely acknowledged as the first all-electronic reggae song - 1984.

What do you think of the song... what do you think of the shift to electronics in reggae?

I don’t mind, if you like it, you like it I suppose. I quite like Vibronics but not heard much more electronic reggae...

quite a similar bassline appears on.

I think Horace Andy did the original in 1974 , and re released it around 78

and I know sly and Robbie have done a version

I’m not a big fan really I’m a bit old skool I like the bass on reggae, but some are quite good, I remember seeing Shabba ranks many years ago and I was quite disappointed he never had a bass player, but this is a great one

I’m liking this Bob Marley cover from Mo Ali

One of my favourite discoveries from this thread, despite this track not being available on Spotify. Plenty of other great stuff by him on there.
